A DELETED SCENE

This is a deleted scene that originally appeared in the chapter entitled The Mutable Inn. You will see that it is far more involved than the one that took its place, and I am sharing it with you because I think it gives a nice illustration of magic of the Muddlemorphs, and Ash’s genius for it. It was also great fun to write, and so I was sorry to lose it.

Nevertheless I do think that the final chapter works a little better, because it shows Sylas’s own abilities beginning to come to the fore. What do you think?
