In the run-up to publication of THE BELL BETWEEN WORLDS I was asked if I would write a short prologue to the book for release to blogs and schools. At first I was a little unsure about adding to the story that I hoped was already quite rounded, especially before it was even released! But the more I thought about it the more I saw the opportunity for a fun little addition to the tale, which takes place before the action of the first chapter and which further sets the scene of Gabblety Row and the Shop of Things. As such it is far from essential reading and the book still very much stands alone, but I hope it adds a little magic and anticipation. And I very much enjoyed creating the character of the faithful old postie, George Lumberly!
I hope you like the end result!
